When it comes to spending some quality time with your love you’ll search for the best. Malls, as dating spot are most common preference for most of the couples in Delhi, however after couple of dates, they start seeming drab. Indeed, you can go for movies, spend some romantic evenings at India Gate, go for a picnic at Old Fort but what next. Trust me I have been through this. Sometimes we need to look for some fresh venues for a date in Delhi for planning a surprise romantic evening.
When I started looking for it, I was amazed to find that there was so much more that two people could do while out for a romantic evening in Delhi. Here are some of the obvious and some not-so-obvious cozy and romantic places for a refreshing date in Delhi you must visit:
1. Nehru Planetarium
Location: Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi
When a love word pops up, the next thing in mind is the Moon and stars (my personal favorite). The Nehru Planetarium gives you the same along with an unique experience that at some points you can feel the curiosity to know more. With your loved ones beside you, this date will truly be a memorable moment. The Nehru Planetarium is the best place to be on your next date in Delhi. Trust me you’ll never get enough of this place.
2. Deer Park and The Hauz Khas Fort and Hauz Khas Village
Location: Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi
One of the most beautiful and romantic places in Delhi is the Deer Park in Hauz Khas Village. A beautiful view with all the greenery, splash of water and architectural fort. Sightseeing and spotting peacocks, deers and rabbits will make you forget that you are in Delhi (a crowded and polluted city).
While you are here, I suggest to not miss the Hauz Khas Fort. The rustic charm of this fort with the amazingly beautiful backdrop of the lake, makes it the perfect place for some quality time with your sweetheart.
When it comes to choices for a date evening, Hauz Khas Village has a lot to offer. You may not want to miss an evening in Hauz Khas Village. With a lot of cafes and restaurants, you will find yourself with plenty of reasons and options to spend more time with your better half.
3. Sevilla, The Claridges
Location: Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Rd, New Delhi
Sevilla, The Claridges is another one of the most beautiful and romantic places in Delhi. Walking on the lit-up pathways, trees around the staircase, the white-themed decor is a breathtaking walk. The outdoor seating under the moon and stars, a candlelight dinner is a perfect date. A fine glass of wine will definitely be an amazing touch to a perfect dinner.
4. Lodi, The Garden Restaurant
Location: Lodi Garden, New Delhi
Lodi, The Garden Restaurant is a place where you can celebrate your love without any occasion. The restaurant has various sections like the atrium, bar floor, terrace, etc. The bamboo railing, lanterns hanging on the trees, the bar setup and the outer seating arrangement are astonishing. They also have personal seating with a unique style of carter. Certainly, it is a peaceful and cozy place in Delhi to take your better half along.
5. Ice Lounge
Location: Saket, New Delhi
The Ice Lounge, Saket is definitely a go on a date place if you are looking for romantic places in Delhi for with your date. It’s a fun, exciting, cozy and adventurous place. Can you imagine yourself with your better half in a place where almost everything is made of ice? Yes, you can especially in the summertime. Those vibrant blue, green and red lights on the ice statues feel so refreshing and even in a -10 degree celsius lounge, you’ll be comfortable.
6. Rose Cafe
Location: Saket, New Delhi
Guessing by the name the cafe won’t disappoint you with the interior. The combination of turquoise, pink and white colors is a perfect and fairy tale set up for a date. The cafe’s decor will cheer up the mood and the desert will cheer up your heart. Don’t miss out on this cafe with such a romantic atmosphere and a perfect place to spend some quality time with your loved ones.
7. Jamun
Location: Lodhi Colony, New Delhi
The name says it all. The lovely seating arrangement with the Jamun themed decor, and lanterns. I loved the possibility of everything in copper (fans, railings, and plates included) just like the traditional times. The restaurant offers Indian food. A dating place to show we are modern still Indians by heart.
8. Summer House Cafe
Location: Hauz Khas, New Delhi
A perfect date place to enjoy to the fullest. This place is known for live music and performances. Dance along with your partner, make some moves as well as memories. You can also have a date night on other floors of the Summer House having an outdoor balcony with a cute and colorful setup.
9. Shootout Zone
Location: Chattarpur, New Delhi
Going on a date with your partner to do something different, exciting and adventurous will make your bond stronger and strengthen it with the shootout activity. Playing at the Shootout Zone is not like playing a paintball game it actually feels like you are a part of the war. So do something different with your partner and put the Shootout Zone on your next date spot in Delhi.
10. SSKY Lounge, Connaught Place
Location: Connaught Place, New Delhi
At the top floor of the tallest building in a circular structure, a multi-sectioned lounge will give an experience of viewing the entire city and capturing breathtaking moments with your partner. Enjoy your meal with an extensive range of drinks. One of a few places for a date if you enjoy heights.
11. Harry’s Bar + Cafe
Location: Khan Market, New Delhi
Harry’s Bar + Cafe is one of the ideal destinations to put some fun into your nightlife. The interiors of the restaurant having wooden furnishings with dramatic lights give an addictive and energetic vibe. It is an awesome place to hang out with your other half for some drinks and tasty food.
12. Garden of Five Senses
Location: Saket, New Delhi
It is a walk of nature with your beloved one. The Garden of Five senses is designed to activate your euro with its beauty, smell, natural surroundings and some peaceful, creative architectural work. This place should definitely be your next date spot to spend some time with mother nature along with your partner.
